Etihad Airways extend “free two nights in Abu Dhabi” to meet high demand

It’s only been just over a month since Etihad Airways announced a campaign to offer travellers free stopovers in Abu Dhabi, and apparently it’s gotten so popular the airline has had to extend the campaign’s dates.

The national airline of the UAE will now be offering free stopovers in Abu Dhabi up until the end of the year, meaning travellers flying through the capital city now have a chance to take a breather from whatever journey they’re on and actually explore the city with a free two-night hotel stay at their choice of various partner hotels.

“We are extremely pleased that our Abu Dhabi stopover has appealed to so many of our guests and exceeded our expectations in the first month since it launched”, said Robin Kamark, Chief Commercial Officer Etihad Aviation Group. “This incredible promotion allows us to showcase our extraordinary home to more visitors worldwide. Guests can explore the emirate’s many highlights as well as relax and rejuvenate as they break up their journey”.

The city, famed for its cultural sights, desert safari expeditions, world-class theme parks, architectural wonders and the more recently opened Louvre Abu Dhabi, has much to offer tourists looking to pack their two days with adventure. And that’s all the more tempting with the list of hotels those taking advantage of the two-night offer can choose from, ranging from the five-star Jumeirah at Etihad Towers and the InterContinental Abu Dhabi, to the Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi and Radisson Blu.

The free Abu Dhabi stopover promotion is available for bookings online through etihad.com or via a travel agent made by 1 December for travel until 31 December 2019.
