Aussies can now use Facebook Messenger to order Pizza Hut

In a nod to how much effort it takes to switch and open new tabs in internet browsers nowadays, Pizza Hut Australia has announced an industry-first ordering platform via Facebook Messenger.

The social media messenger app can now be used on mobile devices to access “Pizza Hut Instant Ordering”, overseen by a customised bot with the aim to allow users to quickly and seamlessly order their favourite Pizza Hut menu items for delivery.

“At Pizza Hut Australia, we are in the middle of transforming our great brand and working closely with our franchise partners to build our capability and capacity to delight our guests”, said Phil Reed, Chief Executive Officer, Pizza Hut Australia. “Through strong partnerships with Facebook and Visa, we have been able to launch Pizza Hut Instant Ordering on the Facebook Messenger Platform, which is a clear demonstration of this innovation, driving digital transformation”.

Anyone wanting to test it out can do so now by heading on over the Pizza Hut Instant Ordering Facebook page (CLICK HERE) and just sending them a message. The bot will then present users with a series of selections including delivery or pick up, product category and pizza type.

In addition to ordering with ease, customers can also rest assured their payment information will be kept safe, as Pizza Hut Instant Ordering is complete with secure tokenised payments provided by Visa and Cybersource.
