A music-themed luxury hotel has opened in the Maldives

The Maldives is in the midst of one the island’s most exciting changes to date, with the introduction and ongoing development of the country’s first and only integrated island resort, CROSSROADS.

The lifestyle precinct has added some seriously lush hotels to go along with it, one of which is the upbeat, recently opened Hard Rock Hotel Maldives.

Coming from the stalwart music-focused brand, Hard Rock Hotel Maldives has added 178 spacious rooms to the CROSSROADS scene, all of which span various categories: family suites, beach villas, overwater villas and overwater pool villas. Top that with a vivacious vibe spun into existence through numerous signature amenities including a Hard Rock Café, the Body Rock fitness centre, Rock Spa, Rock Shop, Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club, and Teen Spirit Club.

The experience reaches its max with the 460 square metre Rock Star Villa which, along with the luxury essentials like outdoor living areas and an infinity pool, includes a tuk-tuk bar on the terrace to go along with those far-flung ocean views. There’s even a private boat jetty included, which should go along perfectly with the “The Sound of Your Stay” program, a Hard Rock signature that allows guests to curate their own holiday soundtrack using in-room Crosley turntables, playlists and even the chance to borrow a Fender guitar.

As far as dining goes, expect a contemporary menu at Sessions, while The Elephant and The Butterfly both rest on Latin American inspired cuisine. The famously lively Hard Rock Café is also here for all American cuisine needs, coupled with live music, events, music memorabilia and its own “Rock Shop”.

The music bent even extends to the Rock Spa, which offers up a range of therapies, anchored by the world’s first fully immersive music-centre spa menu, guided by amplified vibrations, pressures and patterns.

Of course CROSSROADS is another focal point of the entire experience, with access to the vibrant lifestyle district and its many features, including the PADI-certified Watersports & Dive Centre which provides regular excursions and private tours into the underwater world. The Marine Discovery Centre teaches guests about the resort’s conservation activities, including a Junior Coral Curator programme and a clownfish release initiative, while the Maldives Discovery Centre showcases the culture of this captivating country.
