Track of the Day: We Move Like Giants “Devilry” (2019)

Indie-rap four piece We Move Like Giants have been making a strong impact on the scene with debut single “Devilry”, showcasing a distinct style that playfully blurs the line between dark, indie sounds and a commanding hip hop presence.

We’d expect nothing less of ARIA-winning producers SIXFOUR, emcee Daydream Fever, and vocalist Luke Carlino who have come together to form this Melbourne-meets-Adelaide project. They’ve crafted a song that stomps around simple keys with deft, frustrated raps and a husky, sinister hook that is brilliantly tethered to SIXFOUR’s furrowed production.

“Devilry is a song about the duality of humanity, the light and dark that affects us all. People are inherently good, but we all do bad things. God in the heart, devil in the veins. This can be applied to relationships, morals, day-to-day actions, and the inner thoughts that we never share” – We Move Like Giants

We Move Like Giants are playing a special show in celebration of their debut single, on the 29th June at Jive Adelaide. For more information and that and the band head to their Facebook page.
