Track of the Day: Sierra and the Radicals “I Like You” (2019)

Sierra and the Radicals is a vehicle for singer and actor Sierra Heuermann. The band is best known for its bouncy catchy tunes and heartfelt lyrics. Their last single was the jauntily titled “You Look Like My Next Ex”. They have a new track released today, also with an upbeat tune – this one is called “I Like You’.

You might have seen her acting in the #1 in box office “OUIJA”, or possibly “Hulu’s” or “The Reckoning” .  She was also a guest singer on Muse’s 2016 Drones world tour. The band is LA based, and has performed in venues such as the Viper Room, the House of Blues and the Hotel Cafe.  Joining Sierra in the band is Josh Henry on drums and vocals, Alex Bowers on lead guitar and vocals, Parker Wilmoth on keys and Ryan Bratton on bass.

Sierra writes about the song “I Like You” was written when I liked someone but was too scared to be in a relationship. I feel like almost everyone can relate to this song.” It starts with yearning and doubt and builds sonically into a triumphant declaration of affection. It’s a great one to round the week out on.

Do give it a listen….
