Track of the Day: Nancie Schipper “Take Out The Trash” (2019)

2018 triple j Unearthed High Finalist Nancie Schipper has dropped her latest single, “Take Out The Trash“, and we’re stoked to be naming it today’s Track of the Day!

The catchy AF indie-rock track was produced by John Castle – you’ll find his name on tracks from the likes of Angie MacMahon and Vance Joy – and follows on from previous singles, “When You Get Home” and “Long Fall“.

Nancie says:

“I wrote [“Take Out The Trash”] at the start of this year when I acknowledged my mental health for the first time and actively started doing things to help improve it. Sometimes it’s the little things.. a clean room, or seeing your friends that can make a huge difference.”

Give it a listen below!

After a few dates supporting Alex Lahey and Great Gable, Nancie will be heading out on her own for a series of (FREE!!) headline gigs in the New Year. Dates are as follows:

Fri 10th Jan: The Penny Black, Melbourne
Thu 16th Jan: Henry’s Rooftop, Manly
Sat 18th Jan: The Vic, Sydney
Sun 19th Jan: North Gong Hotel, Wollongong
