E3 2019: Luigi’s Mansion 3 will haunt Nintendo Switch later this year

Luigi’s Mansion 3 was one of the first games Nintendo had to talk about during their E3 Nintendo Direct broadcast this year. The first time the series has returned to a major console since the original Luigi’s Mansion back on the Gamecube after a brief detour onto the 3DS in 2013.

The game looks to continue the perfect blend of adventure and puzzle mechanics the series is known for, with just the right amount of spooky scenarios to give kids a scare. We see more ghostbusting, more treasure hunting, a horrible new doppelganger called Gooigi, and even four-player multiplayer. This is the first time we’ve actually seen gameplay and while its more or less exactly what we expected, that doesn’t mean we aren’t very happy about it indeed.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 arrives on Nintendo Switch later in 2019 — we’d guess around Halloween.
