Game of Thrones star and Aussie director of new J. J. Abrams produced Film are coming to Sydney

This year, J.J. Abrams and Paramount Pictures are bringing us a new film in collaboration with the Australian director Julius Avery and starring Danish actor Pilou Asbæk; Overlord, a horror film set in World War II. After the Nazis have launched a secret experiment, Asbæk and co. have to fight off troops of horrifying and violent creatures bred by the German Army. It seems like we should be ready to jump out of our skins in the cinema for this one.

Julius Avery is a Pemberton born director and screenwriter who gained recognition with projects like Son Of A Gun (2014) and Jerrycan (2008). Pilou Asbæk is no unfamiliar face either. He appeared in the series Game Of Thrones as Euron Greyjoy, and acted alongside Scarlett Johansson in Lucy (2014) and Ghost In A Shell (2017).

Avery and Asbæk will appear at the Oz Comic-Con in Sydney for an exclusive Q&A, which will be followed by the first Australian screening of the movie. This will all happen at the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour on the 29th of September.

For more details regarding the event and tickets follow the Facebook pages of Paramount Pictures Australia or Oz Comic-Con, which takes place on the 29th and 30th of September in Sydney.
