Etihad Airways are offering free 2-night stopovers in Abu Dhabi

Etihad Airways are currently offering passengers a free stopover in Abu Dhabi as part of a “landmark global promotion”, tied to flights between 21st April and 15th July 2019. Not only that, but no less than 15 different hotels in the UAE capital have come on board to offer two free nights accommodation for guests booking flights to and from all Etihad destinations via Abu Dhabi.

“The number of visitors to Abu Dhabi continues to grow every year, and this incredible promotion allows us to showcase our extraordinary home to more visitors worldwide”, said Robin Kamark, Chief Commercial Officer Etihad Aviation Group. “Guests will be welcomed with traditional Arabian hospitality, and will enjoy a modern infrastructure, multi-cultural society, and the many unique attractions the city, and wider emirate, have to offer”.

It’s a damn good deal if you ask us, and one which you don’t see very often: two days in the city that features architectural wonders like Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the more recent Louvre Abu Dhabi, for free. Then you’ve got the immense Arabian desert, numerous theme parks – including Ferrari World’s G-force rollercoasters, and desert safari expeditions. It’d be a lot to squeeze into two days, but it’ll be worth the exhaustion.

To take advantage of the promo just select a multi-city flight when you’re booking online via Etihad – you’ll then be directed to the stopover booking page once the booking is confirmed, where you’ll then have the option to choose a hotel package for free. This includes stays at five-star properties like InterContinental Abu Dhabi, Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, and others like Courtyard by Marriott WTC, Crown Plaza, Radisson Blu, Ramada Downtown and more.

The free Abu Dhabi stopover promotion is available for bookings online through etihad.com or via a travel agent from 10 April to 15 June 2019, for flights between 21 April and 15 July 2019.
