“Cocktail Porter” is Australia’s first premium online cocktail subscription service

Australia’s first premium online cocktail subscription service has launched, paving the way for Cocktail Porter to deliver bartender-designed cocktail kits directly to front doors across the country. A concept birthed in Sydney, Cocktail Porter was founded by Cameron Northway of Sweet&Chilli and Bondi restaurant Rocker, aimed at pushing a modern, on-demand product for those wanting up upskill and truly take their cocktail game to the next level.

So how’s it work? Each kit has been designed so that all the customer will need is some ice, a chilled glass, and some garnishes. With the popularity of bottled cocktails picking up in places like Sydney and Melbourne over the past year or two, this seems like the logical next step.

A different cocktail will be delivered each month to subscribers, with each kit containing the latest trends in cocktails from bars across the globe. They feature simple recipes, pre-measured premium spirits, tailored mixers and quality ingredients for the chosen concoction. Kits will be delivered on the 14th of each month for those who purchase via subscription, or within 3-5 working days for those who aren’t subscribed. They will make between 14 and 18 cocktails per kit.

Cocktails included on the service so far have been designed by Northway and a team of award-winning bartenders, including Tim Phillips of Bulletin Place and Dead Ringer. Expect stuff like an Espresso Martini with grated dark chocolate; a classic Gin Martini with your choice of vermouth; the opulent Treacle Old Fashioned; a Blood Mary with turmeric vinegar; and a limited edition Spring Cup Spritzer with Tanqueray London Dry Gin and Ciroc Ultra-Premium Vodka.

“We wanted to create a cocktail concept that saved Aussies from having to run around store to store finding the right bottle of alcohol, the right mixer and appropriate garnish”, said Northway. “We are sending the recipe and the bottles. You don’t even need to have a cocktail kit at home to make it – use a mason jar or Tupperware to shake up your cocktail. It’s less prep, more play and bang for your buck.”

Cocktail Porter Monthly Members Boxes are priced at $135 per month. The first 100 customers to sign up will receive 25% off their first box ($99). With each kit making a minimum of 14 cocktails, subscribers are set to spend less than $10 per drink– half the price of cocktails in bars. Flexible subscription options also allow customers to pause or cancel at any time. One-off purchases are available for those wanting to taste test a signature cocktail case.
