More than just an excuse to fill up on chocolate, Easter means a long weekend filled with good food, friends and family (usually in that order). There’s no lack of exclusive Easter treats to eat around Sydney this year, both for the savoury and sweet lovers, so we’re rounded up five of the best to get your hearts, minds and mouths around over the stretch of Good Friday to Easter Monday.

Enjoy an exclusive Easter feast at Mode Kitchen & Bar

Created especially for this coming Easter long weekend, an exclusive three-course menu lovingly curated by Head Chef Francesco Mannelli will reiterate just how essential Mode Kitchen & Bar has become to Sydney’s discerning gourmands.

Truly earning its place in the opulent lobby of the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, the highly regarded Mode Kitchen & Bar has for quite some time now been regarded as one of the area’s most essential restaurants. Mannelli, a produce-forward chef with more than 20 years experience in some of the finest kitchens across both his home country Italy and Australia (think est., Bistrode CBD, and Balla), maintains a strong focus on technique and fresh, seasonal produce.

Making use of some of Australia’s finest seasonal produce, Mannelli and his team will start the menu with a Potato Gnocchi that’s served with red snapper ragu and fresh oregano. After that’s all done, the main of Herb Crusted Lamb Cutlets will surely be a hit, especially with a side of rocket & tomato salad as well as yoghurt tartare sauce. The three-course menu will then wrap up with a simple dessert of Tarte Tropézienne.

Keep in mind that this Easter menu will only be available from Friday 19th to Monday 22nd April (inclusive) so act fast, your taste buds will be forever grateful. Bookings can be made RIGHT HERE

Stroll “Rainbow Dessert Lane” at The Grounds of Alexandria

As if the venue couldn’t get more instagrammable, The Grounds of Alexandria plan to light their considerable digs for a special celebration of all things sugary this month as they curate “Rainbow Dessert Lane”. Between the hours of 6pm and 9pm on every Friday and Saturday from now until the end of April, the laneway installation will illuminate a wide selection of dessert carts selling their goods, from doughnuts and gelato sandwiches, to rainbow pavlovas and lemon beignets.

If there was ever a time to head along though, it would be on Easter Saturday from 3pm, where The Grounds will host their annual Easter egg cracking event where a giant communal egg is broken down and shared amongst guests.
