Kira Puru has unveiled her new single “Fly” on the eve of her performances at Listen Out, which will be followed by headline shows and sets at various festivals this November and December. This new single, which we’re excited to make our track of the day, is a sassy pop track that is bound to make any crowd dance.
The features on her self-titled EP that was released today through New Tribe Music. According to Puru, “Fly is a serious work about the art of aviation. Any innuendo or double entendre is pure accident, I promise.”
Her obvious light-hearted and fun personality shine through on “Fly”, sure to delight audiences at upcoming festivals, Spilt Milk, Wine Machine and HyperFest. Groovy and cheeky, “Fly” is a prime example of Kira Puru’s ability to bring the fun to the party and initiate an unstoppable dance-fest.
Her Kira Puru EP, produced by Jon Hume (Dean Lewis, Matt Corby). features five tracks that continue this candid and groovy demonstration. Puru states, “it’s such as dream to release this EP. I feel like this collection of songs really represents who I am as a person and an artist – honest, fun and weird in all the right places.”
In the past year, she has played two sold-out headline shows, sets at Groovin The Moo and Curveball and performed as a special guest for The Rubens and Vera Blue.
