Somehow August is just about done and we’re nearly in September. That’s two-thirds of the year done. Goneskies. Crooked Colours

7th Sept / Roundhouse

Perth boys Crooked Colours are coming back to Sydney to give you a tour inside their wonderful kaleidoscope. Joining the trio will be Ninajirachi, Yahtzel, and AIRWOLF, so if you’ve ever wanted to dance, this is the event for you. Tickets are $34.60, doors open at 7pm.

Angie McMahon

8th Sept / The Metro

Angie McMahon made a big splash towards the end of last year with her debut single ‘Slow Mover’, and she hasn’t let us down since. Now, the Melbourne singer is ready to embark on her first headline tour, bringing Leif Vollebekk (all the way from Canada!) along with her for the ride, before she herself runs back overseas. You can catch Angie and Leif at The Metro Theatre for $28.35, doors at 8pm.

Hockey Dad

9th Sept / The Enmore

Hockey Dad are an absolutely raucous bunch, but they’re probably still a little jet-lagged from their massive Europe tour. The duo are powering on with more Aussie dates, and they want you to join the club. They’re bringing Tiny Little Houses, Totty, and Milky Thred along, so you won’t want to miss it. 14th Sept / Oxford Art Factory

Thelma Plum has delivered us a tasty treat with ‘Clumsy Love’, the first new music from the singer-songwriter in four years (save for here stellar collabs with Golden Features and AB Original). 22nd Sept / Rad, Wollongong

North London’s Wolf Alice know how to make us feel the full range of human emotion, as proved on their 2017 LP Visions of a Life. Leading the band is Ellie Rowsell, and she doesn’t hold back when she’s at the mic. For bonus value, their bringing Brisbane punks Waax along for the ride. 25th Sept / The Metro

Noname has made quite a name for herself since the release of her 2016 mixtape Telefone. Teasing us with the release of an LP recently, the Chicago rapper is bringing extra hype to Sydney’s Metro Theatre for a mid-week pick-me-up that’s sure to be praised. After 12 albums, Destroyer is coming to Australia for the first time ever.
