Exclusive Single Premiere: The Paddy Cakes “Depressing All” (2019)

Today we’re stoked to premiere the new single from Melbourne rockers The Paddy Cakes ahead of its official release on Thursday.

Recorded and produced by Dylan Adams (DMA’s, Skeggs, West Thebarton), “Depressing All” is all set to play a part in the quartet’s forthcoming debut EP, which is set for release on Friday March 22nd.

Tackling the mundanity of routine in everyday life, “Depressing All”, brings to mind the likes of Arctic Monkeys and Two Door Cinema Club, all whilst retaining plenty of Australian charm. Talking about the single, vocalist Dalton Tripodi had this to say:

“This song was written at a time in my life when I was getting frustrated and a bit bored towards everything going on. Some days honestly felt like Deja Vu, where I could tell what was going to happen before it did. It was the same shit, but a different day, and it felt like my mind was off with the fairies for most of it. Its essentially about just wanting something new”.

The Paddy Cakes have quickly started to forge a name for themselves with their fast paced and high energy live shows. After only a handful of listens it seems pretty clear that “Depressing All” will be a great addition to their live arsenal. It’s also got us pretty excited for their impending debut EP too.

“Depressing All” will be released Thursday February 14th. The Paddy Cakes will be playing a single launch show at The Workers Club, Melbourne on Saturday March 9th. For more information click HERE. You can also find the lads on Facebook, Instagram and their Official Site.
