Basement Jaxx are coming to Australia with a full orchestra

Legendary duo Basement Jaxx have just announced three special Australian shows for April 2019, re-imagining their long line of hits with a full orchestra and backing singers. The tour, which will take them to iconic venues like the Sydney Opera House and Margaret Court Arena, is a completely updated and refreshed version of a project they began following their ground-breaking 2011 album collaboration with The Metropole Orkest, which resulted in acclaimed live shows across London and the Netherlands.

For this tour, Sydney’s The Metropolitan Orchestra will accompany Basement Jaxx live on stage, along with powerhouse vocalists Vula and Sharlene Hector, helping breathe new life into timeless electronic tracks like “Where’s Your Head At?” and “Good Luck”. Not only that, but fans can also expect new works that have been commissioned especially for this tour, alongside a few surprises.

The tour will kick off on Saturday 13th April with one show at Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena before heading on up to Sydney the following day, taking over the Sydney Opera House. The brief tour will wrap up in Brisbane on Thursday 18th April at QPAC. Tickets go on sale at 10am local time on Friday 14th December from tegdainty.com.
