Hitman 2 is going to let you kill Sean Bean

Veteran character actor Sean Bean has died a lot on-screen. Known for roles like Boromir in The Lord of the Rings and Ned Stark on Game of Thrones, old mate Sean always seems to bite it in the end. He’s died on film so many times that it’s become a bit of a running joke. Hitman 2 developer Io Interactive have picked up on this, unveiling the perpetrator of the Bean’s latest fictionalised slaying — you.

Bean will play Mark Faba, Hitman 2‘s first Elusive Target. A timed objective carried over from the previous game, Elusive Targets are event missions in which a special target appears on a specific map. They can be taken out for big bonuses and rewards, and are often far trickier to locate, track and eliminate than your standard Hitman mark. The character of Mark Faba bears a bit of resemblance to Bean’s character Alec Trevelyan from GoldenEye. A former MI5 operative turned freelance assassin, Faba is reportedly very good at faking his own death.

The mission actually promises to be a fun race against the clock — not Agent 47’s, but Faba’s. Faba is on an assassination mission of his own and must be taken out before he can complete it. Given that he’s in the same line of work as 47, he’ll likely be a slippery bastard.

Hitman 2‘s Elusive Target #1: The Undying arrives November 20 and will run for 10 days.

Hitman 2 launches on November 13, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
