E3 2019: Here’s 20 minutes of the Final Fantasy VII Remake in action

Square Enix have delivered what may have been the biggest shot of raw fan service out of any E3 presentation so far. The publisher’s E3 press briefing dedicated its opening twenty minutes to Final Fantasy VII Remake, and every second of it had fans in the audience screaming with delight. Hit the embed below and enjoy it for yourself.

Square finally unloads and goes into detail on numerous facets of the game, including the revised real time combat system. Combat is now much more dynamic than it was in the original, allowing for combos, and more active, strategic play. Of course, for those who prefer the old turn-based style, you can still have that too if you like.

We also finally get our first glimpse of fan favourite Tifa Lockhart and she doesn’t disappoint.

The presentation went on to feature further Final Fantasy titles like Crystal Chronicles S, Final Fantasy XIV and even a brand new remake of Final Fantasy VIII.

Final Fantasy VII Remake launches March 3, 2020 exclusively on PlayStation 4.
