E3 2019: Doom Eternal Returns with the All the Insanity You Expected

While this is not the first look at Doom Eternal, make no mistake; it might just be our best.

Doom Eternal returns to Bethesda’s E3 showcase with an impressive story trailer featuring much of the gameplay fans have come to expect since the 2016 reboot. While Doom has always been light on its story, there seems to be a few interesting twists in store. From a gameplay perspective, and it did not disappoint. It really is hard to encapsulate in words just how good the gameplay looks, but I’ll do my best. Faster gunplay, enhanced abilities and tweaked platforming elements have all been added to the sequel. You can check it out for yourself in the trailer below:

I hope you have room for more, because Bethesda were hoping you did, as they unveiled Battlemode, a brand new multiplayer mode which pits a fully upgraded Slayer against 2 player-controlled demons in a fight to the death. It feels like a slightly more strategic take on the chaos, all while retaining that sweet Doom chaos. Check it out for yourself down below:

Doom Eternal is slated for release on 22 November, 2019. We’ll see you in Hell.
