E3 2019: Animal Crossing: New Horizons arrives in town next March

Nintendo fans have been waiting quite some time for news on when they could expect to play Animal Crossing: New Horizons. While originally slated to ship in 2019, the game has slipped to March 2020.

While this may be disappointing for fans hoping to have an Animal Crossing game under the tree at Christmas, the extra wait won’t be a long one (and at this point, what’s another three months?). The trailer Nintendo debuted during this year’s E3 Nintendo Direct should give fans plenty to chew on until our next look at the game.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons takes players to a desert island owned by habitual loan shark Tom Nook. There, they will begin a new life and create a new town all their own.

New Horizons marks Animal Crossing‘s first appearance on a main Nintendo console since Animal Crossing: City Folk in the Wii back in 2008. A portable title, Animal Crossing: New Leaf launched on the 3DS in 2012.
