How to get $40 tickets to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in Melbourne

Harry Potter Fanatics and cheap theatre ticket chasers assemble! As the Potterites amongst you are likely already aware, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is about to finally arrive in Melbourne, with the first preview performances taking place next week. Whilst the price of the show (especially the need to attend two performances) may be a cause of uncertainty amongst some people, the world of Potter has definitely got you covered; with the “Friday Forty” set to give everybody the chance to receive tickets to the performance at half the price.

In its two years on stage, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has only taken place in London and Broadway, making Melbourne not merely its Australian premiere production but also its third stop in the entire world.

Every week, 40 tickets for each show will be available for the following week at $40 per show ($80 in total for the two parts). Not only are they super cheap, but the seats are also guaranteed to be some of the best in the house! Entry to the Friday Forty begins every Monday at 12:01AM until Friday at 1:00PM. The winners will then be notified between Friday at 1:00PM and 5:00PM and will have one hour to complete their purchase.

If you’re one of the lucky winners, you can buy a maximum of two tickets per show (four in total), so don’t worry, you can 100 percent bring along your best pal and collect tickets from the box office on the day. Already convinced? You can apply for the first Friday Forty right now! Tickets are only available through TodayTix. Just download the app or head to their official website before 1:00PM on Friday 11 January and you could be sprawled out in one of the best and most price-saving seats in the room as soon as next week.

The multi-award winning production is based on the original story by J.K Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany. The show takes places over two parts, which are encouraged to be enjoyed on the same day (matinee and evening) or on consecutive evenings. There is no doubt that this show is unmissable for any die hard Potter fan – make sure you don’t miss out and find the links to tickets below.

Opening night of the performance is January 18, 2019 and will be held at Melbourne’s Princess Theatre (163 Spring Street, Melbourne, VIC, 3000). Head to the TodayTix website HERE or download the TodayTix App.
